Established in 1995, Le Toy Van has been designing & making wooden toys for more than 20 years. Designed to stimulate creative & social play; inspiring imagination to promote early learning, maximum play-value and sense of wellbeing for a happy childhood. Le Toy Van toys are ethically made: meeting and exceeding industry standards, the production site has been awarded with the prestigious ISO 9001 by Bureau Veritas Certification for achieving world-class product quality and service standards. Providing further assurance, the ICTI Care (International Council of Toy Industries) Seal of Approval independently certifies ethical practice. Le Toy Van uses responsibly sourced rubber wood and MDF from replenish-able plantations & has received two new labels certifying the eco-friendly sources. The logos are printed on the packaging accordingly. Indonesian Legal Wood: 300 independent auditors trained to assess forests and companies to confirm supply. Sucofindo SICS: (SUCOFINDO) inspection, testing, audit, supervision & certification for traceability.
The Le Toy Van catalogue is printed on FSC paper and a reduced number is now printed as we move to a digital catalogue & website.
All of Le Toy Van toys are tested in accordance to stringent European EN-71 & ASTM Toy Safety Regulations, for children aged 12/18/24 months for the Petilou range and 36 months for the other ranges. They are tested by independent, accredited, globally recognised testing facilities and the packaging is labelled accordingly.
Le Toy Van wooden toys are designed to give maximum play value that encourages creativity and imagination. They believe in learning through play to develop social skills, language skills and coordination. An array of awards testifies to their success: approved by educational testers, early years associations and most importantly, children themselves.
